Colbros were successful in securing the design and construct electrical contract at SITA’s new waste treatment facility at Kemps Creek in Sydney’s West.
Design factors which had to be taken into account were the impact of such a corrosive environment on the electrical equipment, light fittings and infrastructure. All light fittings and general electrical equipment had to be sourced to ensure they were completely made from non metallic enclosures.
All field distribution boards were IP 66 rated and specially treated prior to installation.
